Our Mission

We built Evale because software stacks shouldn't be accidents.

They deserve the same rigor as budgets and product roadmaps. Most stacks grow by accident — not by design.

Our Mission

What drives us

"Every stack deserves a system — not a collection of accidents."

From Accident to Design

I was CEO of an 80-person company going through due diligence.

The buyer asked: "What software are you using, and what does it cost?"

It took three days to answer. Finance had invoices. IT had logs. Teams had credit cards. None of it matched. It was embarrassing.

That same year, we renewed Salesforce for €300k.

We negotiated. But blind. No alternatives. No usage data. No leverage.

The problem wasn't incompetence. It was structure.

Software spend doesn't explode. It creeps. €500 here. €2,000 there. Trials auto-renew. Teams buy what they need. Nobody tracks it. Each decision feels small. But they compound.

I kept thinking: What if you built Gartner from scratch today?

Not analyst reports. Real-time data.
Not market trends. Your actual stack.
Not what's popular. What you should do next.

Gartner tells you the market. Evale tells you what to do about your next renewal.

Stacks aren't designed. They're accidents — credit cards, urgent needs, forgotten trials.

Evale replaces that accident with a system. Not a one-time audit. An operating system that runs continuously.

Core Beliefs

We don't just sell software; we follow a philosophy.

Stacks should be built, not inherited.

If you can't explain why a tool exists, it probably shouldn't. Inherited stacks create cost, risk, and inertia.

Renewals aren't admin — they're leverage.

Vendors rely on inertia. Renewals are often the only moment customers have real negotiating power.

Wrong tools cost more than expensive tools.

A cheap tool nobody uses is infinitely more expensive than a costly one that drives real value. Usage is the only metric that matters.

AI-ready starts with foundations.

You can't automate a mess. Clean data, clear ownership, and a lean stack are prerequisites — not optional extras.

How we solve it

We don't treat stacks like static spreadsheets. We treat them like living systems that require ongoing intelligence.

1

Data, not assumptions

Most tools misreport usage. We triangulate identity data, invoices, and contracts to get to ground truth.
2

Benchmarks, not vendor promises

Vendors set prices to their advantage. We build independent benchmarks to show what others actually pay.
3

Human validation

Dashboards find signals. Humans validate context — so critical tools aren't cut by mistake.

The Team

Dennis Kallerhoff

Founder

Dennis has lived the SaaS explosion on both sides — as a buyer and as a founder — so he built Evale around the exact failures he saw in practice.

Dr. Florian Kraus

Advisor

Florian has built large scale data platforms and deeply understands how incomplete data misleads decisions — which is why we validate machine signals with humans.
